With locations in Germany and abroad, Hochwald is present and close to the customer. Supplied raw milk is processed into high-quality dairy products at production locations in Germany and the Netherlands. The production locations are situated in the direct catchment area of the cooperative. This encompasses almost all of Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, Saarland, regions in Baden-Württemberg, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia, as well as regions in French Lorraine, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Austria. Each of our production sites specialise in one product group to enable efficient processing.
The identification mark is obligatory for all producers of foodstuffs of animal origin within Europe. Each Hochwald location bears its own identification mark. It comprises the abbreviation for Germany “DE”, the official approval number of the site and the abbreviation for the European Community “EC” or “EG”. It can usually be found next to other mandatory information or is printed together with the best before date or the production date. It unambiguously states in which facility the product was made, even if it is not immediately recognisable as a Hochwald product.
