Into the future with Hochwald
Thalfang, 14th September 2016. With the new training year, 35 trainees and two dual students have started their careers. Overall, 114 young people have graduated at the Hochwald locations of Thalfang, Kaiserslautern, Erftstadt, Hünfeld, Hungen, Lüneburg and Weiding in ten vocational professions and three dual degree programs.  Hochwald offers a wide range of vocational professions: On offer are apprenticeships for industrial clerks, for technical professions such as industrial mechanic or industry-related occupations such as dairy technologist and dual degree programs for business administration, food technology and business informatics.  As an international company, which serves customers throughout the world, Hochwald is contributing to the professional and social integration of refugees with the initiative “Perspektive für Flüchtlinge” (Perspective for Refugees), which is funded by the “Agentur für Arbeit” employment agency. “We want to help young refugees to integrate,” explains Tanja Bormann, head of training, “and to offer, for example, a young man from Eritrea the opportunity to complete initial training as a machine operator.” In addition, Hochwald supports the program “europatriates”, which aims to combat youth unemployment in Europe and is also supported by the employment agency. Through this program, a young man from Spain has the chance to complete his training as dairy technologist with Hochwald.
