Marketing cooperation for cheese

Thalfang/ Holtsee 8th May 2015

The Schleswig-Holstein dairy cooperative Holtsee-Ascheberg eG and the cooperatively structured company Hochwald Foods GmbH have signed a cooperation contract for marketing cheese.

From now on, the independent enterprises will work together to sell cheese for the German market and for export. Hochwald, which exports milk and dairy products, such as Pasta Filata cheese, to more than 100 countries, foresees good growth opportunities for yellow cheese as well. Holtsee is known as a leading producer of naturally ripened cheese like Tilsiter and its specialities will also complement Hochwald's range. The aim of the cooperation is to mutually exploit the market potential for cheese in Germany and worldwide, to increase the added value and to further improve the price of milk for the members of the cooperatives. Holtsee’s cooperation with the marketing organization Gut von Holstein remains unaffected.
