Hochwald Foods GmbH is welcoming 24 new apprentices and five cooperative degree students to its locations in Germany for its 2024 training intake. The Hochwald Group, a cooperative structured company with headquarters in Thalfang, Rhineland-Palatinate, provides training across twelve apprenticeships and five cooperative study programs in commercial, industrial and technical professions.
“We are excited that so many young people have again decided to start their careers at our company this year. Given the ongoing shortage of skilled workers and the increasing demands on companies that provide training, we can be proud of this figure,” says Katharina Elsen, the person responsible for apprenticeships / cooperative study programs. As one of the largest dairies in Germany, Hochwald Foods GmbH offers its apprentices and cooperative degree students a secure training position with a wide range of benefits.
In addition to a collectively agreed training salary and intensive support including talent management, apprentices and students benefit from being able to rotate between plants, participate in social projects, go on excursions, and much more. “Providing tailored training allows us to take the individual objectives of apprentices and cooperative degree students into account while covering our internal recruitment needs for specialist and management positions,” says Helga Dohm-Witt, assistant head of HR.
The Hochwald Group, a cooperative structured company with headquarters in Thalfang, Rhineland-Palatinate, provides training across twelve apprenticeships and five cooperative study programs in commercial, industrial and technical professions. It was only in spring this year that the Trier Chamber of Trade and Industry awarded Hochwald Foods GmbH the title of “Excellent Training Company”. Apprentices regularly achieve above-average examination results and are frequently among those recognized at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s awards ceremonies.
Helga Dohm-Witt encourages young prospective apprentices to keep sending in their applications: “The company urges all those who are still undecided to consider a diverse, exciting apprenticeship program that fosters individual talents and to submit applications in the run up to the start of training, and even shortly thereafter, as the intake period has been significantly extended.”
