On August 1, the Hochwald Group welcomed its new apprentices and cooperative degree students across Germany. This year sees a total of 24 new talents embark on industrial-technical and commercial careers and four different cooperative study programs. The internationally active company is committed to offering young people prospects for their future and cultivating skilled workers, who learn how to apply their skills and strengths as well as how to integrate and thrive within a team and the company itself.
As is now tradition, even this year Hochwald’s apprentices and cooperative degree students will begin this new phase in their lives at the induction days. This is where the new recruits get to know one another and the Hochwald training team, and engage in an open dialog about training goals and expectations. “Training young people isn’t just an investment in their future, but also in the future of our company. It’s our mission to nurture these talents and give them the opportunity to grow,” says Helga Dohm-Witt, Assistant Head of HR.
Hochwald offers apprenticeships at several locations in Germany: Thalfang, Kaiserslautern, Weiding, Hünfeld, Hungen, Mechernich and Lüneburg. The available apprenticeships are diverse, ranging from business administrator and electronics technician to industrial mechanic, dairy technologist and dairy lab technician. Twelve types of apprenticeship are offered in total, along with cooperative study programs organized in cooperation with various universities across Germany. Hochwald is countering the trend towards academic qualifications with a comprehensive training program, which has received several awards from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
In addition to benefiting from attractive work conditions, each apprentice receives tailored support. The company also provides further training and development opportunities following on from apprenticeships, which open the doors to a successful future for committed young people. Hochwald urges those who are still undecided to consider a diverse, exciting apprenticeship that fosters individual talents. Helga Dohm-Witt encourages young people to submit their application right up until training starts: “We believe in the potential of new young talent and look forward to supporting our apprentices and students on their individual learning journeys.”
